Our Mission

“We help people rebuild their lives with faith, purpose, and the support they need to thrive.”

Individuals returning from incarceration often face significant barriers to reintegration. Many are released without stable housing, employment opportunities, or access to supportive networks. The transition can be complex and overwhelming, with few coordinated services available to address the range of challenges they encounter.

Our program was designed to respond to these realities. Rather than focusing on a single area of need, Project Nehemiah addresses the full spectrum of reentry through a comprehensive, three-phase model. We assist individuals before their release with reentry planning, connect them to spiritual and emotional support, and continue offering guidance and resources well into their first two years back in the community. Our approach is intentional, long-term, and grounded in both faith and practical outcomes.

Inside correctional facilities, we work directly with individuals to begin preparing for release, offering mentoring, worship, and access to support systems. After release, we assist with housing placement, job training, transportation needs, and case management. Participants also receive continued mentoring and spiritual guidance during their transition.

What distinguishes Project Nehemiah is not only the scope of services offered, but the continuity and depth of care. Our team remains engaged for up to two years, helping participants build sustainable routines, reestablish family connections, and integrate into supportive church and community networks. We work alongside local partners, faith-based organizations, and service providers to create a strong foundation for long-term success.
